Mining is the Process of Collecting Resources from under the Ground.
This is different from picking Stones (collecting Resources from Rocks
above the Ground).

Underground mining is split into two types. The discovering for Metal Ore
and for Mineral Ore. Both types need different Scanners and Extractors.

Equipment for Metal Ore

  • M.O.S.K Scanner
    • SimEng Battery
    • Implosion Drill
  • Orpull Extractor
    • En-Cel Battery
    • Container
    • Drill-Bit

Equipment for Mineral Ore

  • Mi-Sca Scanner
    • SimEng Battery
    • MR-Charges
  • MextraX Extractor
    • En-Cel Battery
    • Container
    • Drill-Bit

Different Equipment Types

Different Resources can be found on different Frequenzy and in different
Depth. In that Way there are many Tools for Mining. Higher Tools include
Features of lower Equipment. List of available Tools can be found at Tools.

Type Color Depth Model
Scanner yellow 100m 82 / 114 / 146 Mhz
Scanner green 200m 178 / 210 / 242 Mhz
Scanner red 300m 274 / 306 / 338 Mhz
Type Color Depth Model
Extractor yellow 100m L1 / L2 / L3 / L4
Extractor green 200m L1 / L2 / L3 / L4
Extractor red 300m L1 / L2 / L3 / L4
Type Color Model Extracted weight
Extractor yellow L1 / Mod-1 0,045 kg / cycle
Extractor yellow L2 / Mod-2 0,052 kg / cycle
Extractor yellow L3 / Mod-3 0,059 kg / cycle
Extractor yellow L4 / Mod-4 0,066 kg / cycle

Scanners

Scanners are Tools that employ Microwave Technology to detect underground resources.

Scanners are crafted Tools. Scanners are relatively easy to craft compared to Extractors,
because the needed resources are more common.

You must use Batteries to power the Scanners. Additionally, you will need the following
for each try: one Implosion Drill (M.O.S.K. Scanner) or MR Charge (Mi-Sca Scanner).

A Battery's charge capacity is indicated with a number from 0.50 to 0.65. The Batteries
must charged at the Power Charge Terminal before first use. The small WX Batteries are
used for the lower level Scanners. For upper level Scanners, above 146 Mhz, you must
use WXL Batteries.

You must stand still while scanning is in Progress.

Extractors

Extractors are Tools that extract Resources from the Ground by using Drilling Technology.

You must use Batteries to Power the Extractor. Additional you need a Container and one
Drill-Bit that match your Extractor (Orpull Drill-Bit or MextraX Drill-Bit).

A Battery's charge Capacity was indicated with a number from 40 to 100. The Batteries
must be charged at the Power Charge Terminal before first time use.

The Extractor, the Drill-Bit and the Battery will decay with extraction of the Minerals and
the extracted Minerals will fill up the Container. You can detach your Extractor from Claim
if needed to change the Battery, the Drill Bit or the Container.

Scanning Process

There are two Types of Resources to mine for using your Mining Equipment. These
are Metal Ore and Mineral Ore. This Tutorial is about mining for Mineral Ore.

Prepare Scanning

Attach SimEng Battery and MR-Charges to the Scanner. Attach En-Cel Battery,
Container and Drill-Bit to the Extractor.

Put your Mining Equipment on Quickbar. Go to any Zone you prefer and equip the
Scanner by pressing Quickbar-Number. A new Window will appear that indicated
your Scanner is in operation, as well as a reminder to stand still while scanning
is in Progress.

Select Frequency

Choose one or more Frequency from Controlpanel, depend on the Resources you
want to search for.

Initial Scan

Press the Initial Scan Button to start the Scanning Progress. If your scanner detects
minerals, it will display which mineral it has detected. Alternately, if your scanner
does not detect minerals it will display "No Resources Found".

Deep Scan

Before the Minerals can be claimed, a Deep Scan must be performed. To do this, click
the Deep Scan Button. When the Deep Scan is completed, detailed information about
your Found will show: Mineral found, Location, Depth and approximate Yield.

Claim Now

If you want to get the founded Resource, click on Claim Now Button and a Claim
Marker will appear in the Landscape.

Claim Marker

To Begin extracting, you will have to find the Claim Marker. A Claim is marked with a
large blue light that points skyward from your Claim.

Attach Extractor

Move towards the Claim Marker and equip your Extractor. Place your Extractor on top
of the Marker.

Claim Info

Right-click on the Extractor to open Interaction Window. In this Window you will see
the Size of your Claim and the Amount of Time it will take to extract the Minerals.

Activate Extraction

Click Activate and Close to Start the extracting. Afterwards, the Extractor begin
to extract your claimed Minerals.

Extraction ready

When all the Minerals have been extracted, a Message will appear above Chat Window.
This shows which Extractor is finished extracting, Name of the Mineral, total extracted
Amount, the Coordinates of your Claim and the Zone.

Detach Extractor

Go back to the Extractor to gather the Resources. Stand close to the Extractor and
click with Right Mouse Button on it to open Interaction Window. Click Detach to get
the Extractor back into your Inventar.

Container

The Resources are located in the Container. Double Click on your Extractor in Inventar
to detach Container from Extractor. The Capacity of a Container KD-L is 50kg. Be sure
to empty it after mining a large Claim, because your Extractor will stop automatically if
the Container KD-L is filled to capacity.

Mining Tips

Mining in Areas further away from a Revival or Wall will yield higher claims since
they are not heavily mined. Same with an area densely populated with creatures.

Claims that are not fitted with an Extractor will disappear after a few Minutes.

Scanning in the same Area will often yield many Claims of different Resources.

Keep an Eye on your Extractors. Sometimes they will stop suddenly due to a jam.
There are messages to warn you in chat window.

You can make own Mark on Ingame Map to relocate your Mining Spots in future.

You can find several claims while standing on same spot

Happy Mining!
