Crafting Overview

Terminal requiered a Program
Terminal requiered a Program

Crafting is the Process of manufacturing Items, Parts of Items
and Components (needed in intermediate steps).

There are different Process available:

  • crafting without CD (such as crafting Ammo)
  • crafting with CD (such as crafting Weapons, Tools)
  • crafting with self created CD (such as crafting Armor)

There are different CDs (Blueprint) available:

  • MFP - needed CD for crafting Parts of a Item
  • ASP - needed CD for crafting Item from Parts
  • CDD - needed CD to self create an ASP (Armor)

Crafting without CD

Not all Terminals require an external Program to start a
manufacture Process.

Craft Ammo, mixing Resources or crafting some Components
is at least possible without CD.

For some Components it's needed to reseach for them at the
Compound Research Terminal before it's possible to craft them.

Needed Resources can be checked at the Terminal after
choosing the required Component from List.

If a Terminal requires an external Program to start the
manufacture Process, you can see if there is a CD shown
open at the Terminal.

The required external Programs are available on CDs, these
are often "dropped" when using a CD while Crafting.

Most CDs drop "ready to use" (exception see at Crafting with
self created CD). The Resources required for each recipe can
be seen by right clicking on the CD in the Info-Window.

The following Terminals require a Program to manufacture
Items or Part of Items. You have to add CD (ASP, MFP)

Not all CDs drop ready to use. Sometimes the player must
first create it themselves. This is needed when you add your
own choices out of a Selection to the Program before writing
it on CD. Self creating a CDs is needed when crafting Armor.

All you need for this is 1x CDD, 1x Protection Chip and 1x
Blank CD.

At the ASP Compilation Terminal you can create with various
Armor Part ASPs with your Choices of available Stats.

The self created CDs are used like all other CDs at the
following Crafting Process.

Prepare Crafting

To split a Stack double-click them and enter the wanted

Refining Resources

The Amount you refine is divided through two in the Process.

Open Terminal - choose "refine" - put in required Amount of
a Resource - click accept

The refined Resource can be found in Storage after the processing
time for this action has elapsed.

Compound Research

For some Components, like Alloys, it's needed to do a research at the
Compound Research Terminal to find the right amount of the needed
Resources, before can make them the first time.

Crafting Process

Crafting Component

Mixing Resources to create a new Component is available at many
different Terminals. (Example: Medical Components mixed
at the Medical Components Terminal)

Open Terminal - choose "mixing" or "component" - choose
from the list what you want to create - click continue - choose
Amount - click continue - add needed Amount of the listed
Resources - click accept

The Mixed Component can be found in Storage after the processing
time for this action has elapsed.

Crafting Parts with MFP

Open Terminal - choose "new Task" - add the necessary MFP
to the Terminal - choose the quantity wanted of this Part - click
continue - add the listed Resources to the Terminal - click
accept.

The crafted Parts can be found in Storage after the processing
time for this action has elapsed.

Crafting Items with ASP

For crafting a Item with Repairs on it, the needed Resources
are only requiered one time.

Open Terminal - choose "new Task" - add the necessary ASP
to the Terminal - choose wanted Amount and Repair of this
Item - click continue - add the listed Resources to the
Terminal - click accept.

The crafted Item can be found in Storage after the processing

Disk Management

At the Disk Management Terminal you are able to:

  • Destroy CDs (ASP, MFP, CDD)
  • Replicate CDs (ASP, MFP)
  • Upgrade CDs (ASP)

MFC Professions

With VU 0.9.8.2 Crafting Professions are introduced. Each ASP/MFP
Disk and each Component requires a MFC Profession Level.

To Skill up a Profession you have to craft Parts from the wanted Pro-
fession. When a Stage has filled with 100% then the next Level of this
Profession is gained. Additional it will be requested a needed Level
from one Skill (Refining Skill or Research Skill).

  • Craft Stage 1 Parts until reach 100% to get access to Stage 2
  • Craft Stage 2 Parts until reach 100% to get access to Stage 3
